God Over All: Divine Aseity and the Challenge of Platonism, by William Lane Craig

God Over All: Divine Aseity and the Challenge of Platonism is a defense of God's aseity and unique status as the Creator of all things apart from Himself in the face of the challenge posed by mathematical Platonism. After providing the biblical, theological, and philosophical basis for the traditional doctrine of divine aseity, William Lane Craig explains the challenge presented to that doctrine by the Indispensability Argument for Platonism, which postulates the existence of uncreated abstract objects. Craig provides detailed examination of a wide range of responses to that argument, both realist and anti-realist, with a view toward assessing the most promising options for the theist. A synoptic work in analytic philosophy of religion, this groundbreaking volume engages discussions in philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of language, metaphysics, and metaontology.

A tour of force and intellectual assault on Mathematical Platonism
By Deya S.
This book will be much discussed by philosophers of religion and philosophers of mathematics in the years to come.

Craig critically examines the question of God's relation to abstract objects (numbers, sets, propositions, etc.), specially addressing the thrological problem posed by Plantonism, according to which abstract objects are uncreated and uncreatable.

Craig shows that the case for Platonism is unconvincing since the arguments in its favor are unsound and a number of anti-realist positions are rationally defensible.

I think Craig's arguments against Platonism are very convincing and this conclusion alone suffices to attract the interest of philosophers of mathematics in this work.

They will have to respond to Craig's systematic intellectual dismantling of Platonism.

Five Stars Plus for God Over All
By Mark A Smith
William Lane Craig, Ph.D., has created another masterpiece! Reality is a puzzle. Many people give it little thought, while others ponder it every day of their lives. If you are in the camp that "ponders it every day" as I am, you will fall in love with this jewel. And I'm just now reading the generous free sample on my Kindle. But I could not wait to be the first to tell you that Dr. Craig has done the deep research, so you don't have to. Dive into this one and enjoy the journey of a lifetime into the great mysteries of reality!

AWESOME! Craig's smartest book yet!
By Diego
This book is REALLY heady, but Craig does a masterful job of breaking down a really sophisticated subject. Between Craig's sophisticated defense of free logic and pretense theory, there really is no reason to think that talk of abstract objects commits us to the existence of those objects, much less that such talk poses any threat to divine aseity.

I absolutely loved this book and recommend it to anyone!!
